Impressive Dress Contest

The McCurtain County 4-H Dress Revue Program's purpose is to help 4-H'ers learn life long skills to improve their personal appearance through the selection of appropriate clothing for specific occasions.
In addition, 4-H'ers will learn to analyze qualities of various fabrics, become familiar with the cleaning and care of various fabrics, and select colors and fits that enhance their personal appearance.
The Impressive Dress Contest is for Junior 4-H Members (13 and under and of Jan 1, 2008). Categories will be Active Sportswear, Dress Wear, Casual Wear, and Western Wear. Participants should be prepared to present a concise 1 to 1 1/2 minute talk about their garments and accessories using the outline provided below. However, the outline will not be presented to the judges. Any questions the judges ask will be on the topics listed on the outline.
Scores will be based 50% on the presentation and 50% on the garments and accessories.
Your presentation should cover all topic listed on the outline, be consise and to the point, and be presented in a pleasing manner using proper grammer, pronunciation, and gestures.
Your garments and accessories will be on fit, appropriatness for the occasion, and overall visual appeal.
