Job Readiness Contest
The Job Readiness contest provides 4-H'ers the opportunity to develop skills such as resume preparation, applying for a job, interview skills, and letter writing skills. The contest is open only to senior 4-H members ages 13 and up.
Contest Dates of Importance:
RSVP: April 6th, 2010 by phone at Extension Office by 4:00 p.m.
Contest: April 13th, 2010
Registration: 4:30 p.m. Contest: 5:00 p.m.
Age Categories:
Intermediate: Ages 13-14
Advanced: Ages 15 and up
Job Categories:
Services: Could include full service restaurants, fast food stores, day care centers, automotive repair, farm/ranch workers, construction, photography, cosmetologists, etc.
Home Based Business: Could include baby sitting, housekeeping, catering, lawn care, home repair, custom sewing, pet care, word processing, etc.
Retail/Office: Could include any retail store or office type work.
Other: You should specify the job type if it doesn't fit into any of the other categories listed above.
